I am the pride of St. Kitts, located in the West Indies. I grew up in a small village called Phillips Village which was and still is a ghetto. Music is one of the things that keep most youths sane. I grew up around steel pan music and from age 12 started playing in a steel band. I loved music so much that I often received many lashes for forgetting to do my daily chores at home, but it was worth it. At the age of 16 I left St. Kitts and went to the British Virgin Islands and lived there for 5 years. While living there I met a wonderful girl who was on vacation from Vancouver. When it came time for her to leave I decided to go to Vancouver for a visit and the rest is history. In Vancouver I played in many different bands for many years, until I decided to branch off and start a band of my own. I started Tropical Breeze some 16 years ago and itâs still going strong. |
