Born to a mother from Canada, who plays classical piano and father from St. Kitts, who sings and plays a number of musical instruments, Kristyna Hope arrived on June 21st, 1980. Already having music in her blood, Kristyna grew up admiring the sounds emanating from her family household. Her father, a member of the Carribean reggae/ soca band, "Tropical Breeze", encouraged her to nurture those talents. At an early age Kristyna committed herself to developing her song-writing & singing talents. By the time she reached fifteen, she was traveling across British Columbia with "Tropical Breeze", complementing their reggae/soca sound with her now smoothed out R&B vocals. Kristyna always enjoyed playing musical instruments and during this time frame she decided to use her classical piano skills to her advantage and began playing melodies by ear while singing along. Growing up, Kristyna listened to anything from R&B, alternative, reggae, soft rock and hip-hop. While going into her late teens she grew especially fond of singing R&B and Gospel music. In 2000, Kristyna had her first studio experience. Song writer/producer Donald Etienne wrote her first track titled, “Bare Your Cross”.

| This song was about conquering every day battles and stresses in life
and Kristyna’s angelic voice indeed sent out the right message. Not being able to spend as much time in the studio as she would have liked, she continued to perform with "Tropical Breeze". In the summer of 2000 Kristyna began collaborating with fellow recording artist Wojack. She wrote and performed two songs," Let Down Your Guard" and "Cry" which appeared on retail release. In 2001, Kristyna was introduced to Warren Curry, another producer/song writer, and David Bentil, owner of Phaze Funk Studio. Not long after beginning to work on an album with them, the studio shut down leaving Kristyna with several unfinished tracks. Although being greatly discouraged by that experience, Kristyna's passion for music did not die and she learned a great deal about the music business. She remained optimistic and kept her faith in GOD and although there appeared to be so many dead ends she realized that she had been blessed with a talent that could not be taken away.

May 2002, Kristyna relocated across the Canadian border to Washington State and collaborated with Wojack once again featuring on his “Black Ops” album. It was through this work that she was introduced to Jacob Bellamy & Tim Snyder, owners of "Bottom to the Top Entertainment". They expressed an immediate interest in developing some new material with her. They were drawn to her by how professional she was. They admired her for not only her soulful voice but for her ability to express herself so deeply through song. Kristyna wrote and recorded 9 flavorful songs which will feature on her upcoming album. In the meantime catch the sound of Kristyna, on Sam Hope’s “Unity” album.
