highlights Monty Maxwell, Mervyn Wilkinson,
Lechous Romaine,
Mayone Augier, Bazil Belizier"
and Colins Carasco among his musical
influences.
After his stepbrother introduced

replaced the drummer in the group Survival. After several members left
Survival, the band was renamed Karma. in his 20's– a job he held
for eight years.
As a musician
Ivan has traveled extensively performing as a drummer and vocalist with
the Caribbean band Oasys. In 1986 he worked for Cunard Countess Cruise
Lines on a short contract and then returned to playing gigs for hotels
and dancehalls until 1995. Next, Ivan continued perfecting his skills

His cruise line
performance of August 16th, 2000, stands out as a favorite.
The date marked the night that Calypso Rose burst into song on the
dance floor of the cruise line as his band was playing her classic,
“Fire Fire.”
In 2001, Ivan
immigrated to Vancouver and rekindled a musical friendship with Maffie.
Together, they composed the hit "Mass in Vancouver" and Ivan has been
a part of the Crew ever since. He drives a beat that captures
jazz, West Indian rhythms, Saint Lucian folk music and African
drumming.
